Even with a surprise cold front and a dusting of snow, Jack Gerli and Caroline Broder’s June wedding at the Roundhouse was a magical gathering of family and friends brought together to celebrate the beginning of their journey together. Caroline’s father officiated the wedding, demonstrating the ultimate blessing and creating an emotional and intimate ambience within the stunning panorama of the mountains.
The couple chose Ray Gadd to photograph their big day because of his incredible talent and local knowledge and love for the valley, but also because Caroline recognized genuine smiles on the faces of the brides he had photographed. She knew she wanted to feel that kind of connection and comfort with the person they had selected to capture this momentous occasion.
Ali at the Feathered Flip, Tara at Tara Bella Flowers and Jessie at the Sun Valley Resort were all part of bringing Caroline and Jack’s vision to life and were able to keep things stress free and low key for the wedding party.
Music was an important piece of the big day and Alexa Sluder from Pocatello worked closely with Jack and Caroline to capture their energy and mood and the feeling of the day. Alexa performed “Love is a Verb” by John Mayer as the wedding party entered, “Angela” by the Lumineers when Caroline walked down the aisle, and “Real Love Baby” by Father John Misty for the couple’s first dance.
Alexa’s husband, Dan, was the party’s MC who took over DJ duties when the party migrated to the final venue—an afterparty at the Warfield Distillery & Brewery in Ketchum.
