So a friend of mine has a sister who is getting married up here next summer. She’s having one ceremony on the East Coast—a very traditional Indian/Muslim ceremony (they are supposed to be sooo cool by the way)—and then a second more non-secular ceremony here. Since she’s planning the wedding from out of state she just sort of chose some different churches to sit down with, at random, during one of her visits. Unfortunately, without the ability to look through a thorough list of options, or to call ahead first and discuss their unique cross-cultural wedding, she had to meet with a pastor that didn’t necessarily agree with their lifestyle. This made for a really uncomfortable situation between her, her fiance and this particular church.
So, in the hopes of this not happening to anyone again, I have put together the following list of officiants from all denominations. This way future brides will be able to find a pastor or reverend that fits their lifestyle, however unique, without any hiccups!
