Teresa Siobhan Urrutia
Hunter Harry Storey
September 5, 2015 | The Valley Club
These middle school sweethearts have strong roots in Sun Valley–it was where they met (in the 6th grade), grew up, fell in love, and eventually tied the knot. Their wedding was on a sunny September day at The Valley Club, with beautiful lemon, green and gray accents and their friends and family all around. Read a Q&A with the bride and groom below, and be sure to check out their vendor list at the bottom of the article.
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE SUN VALLEY?
Who wouldn’t choose the most beautiful place on Earth?
WHERE ARE YOU FROM?
We are both from here.
Hunter is a ski coach and volunteer firefighter. Teresa is a special educator.
HOW DID YOU MEET?
We met at Wood River Middle School in the 6th grade.
HOW DID YOU GET ENGAGED?
Right in our living room on a very ordinary day.
NUMBER OF GUESTS?
WHAT WAS YOUR WEDDING THEME?
Our colors were grey and yellow and we ended up having a bird theme.
SONG THAT YOU WALKED DOWN THE AISLE TO?
My brother and sister in-law played a song that my brother wrote called, “Don’t Get No Better Than This.”
SONG FOR YOUR FIRST DANCE?
"Sweet Pea" by Amos Lee
HOW DID THE NIGHT END?
We took a school bus to Ketchum and finished the night out at the Casino with friends and family!
WHERE WAS YOUR HONEYMOON?
We spent the following weekend in our camper (which was a wedding gift), and we are planning to take a honeymoon in a few months.
WHAT MADE YOUR WEDDING SO SPECIAL?
It truly was a perfect day with our friends and family! We had family and friends from all over, all in one place, at the same time.
WHAT WAS THE BRIDE’S FAVORITE MOMENT?
Our first dance…the lessons paid off!
When my bride sang to me!
D.I.Y PROJECTS? GUEST FAVORS?
Our escort cards doubled as guest favors. We painted little pots and planted succulents in each one. The succulents were originally taken from the bride’s grandmother's garden and carefully tended for months until they had multiplied enough to plant one for each guest.
