2013 was the year of the Bugatti for the 5th Annual Sun Valley Road Rally. “They were the talk of the town,” said John Lewis, Road Rally Board Member Chair.
Topping out at 230.6 miles per hour, these 2.5 million dollar cars traveled from Finland and France to wow the crowd of spectators on Highway 75 north of Ketchum.
Around 400 people gathered for the event, which goes to benefit the Blaine County Community Drug Coalition, to watch 22 different shiny, sleek and expensive machines roar down the 3.2 mile stretch of road, 14 of which got over 200 miles per hour (last year’s record speed was 198.7 mph).
Bob Shillington, a potato farmer from Burley, Idaho, got 3rd place with a speed of 211 mph in his Porsche GT3 RS. (Good job, Bob.)
