Sun Valley Harvest Festival

Making plans for the weekend? Don’t forget to include the Sun Valley Harvest Festival in your weekend lineup!

On Friday and Saturday head to Carol’s Dollar Mountain Lodge for Cooking Demonstrations and Chef Presentations held throughout the day, including Ketchum’s own Cristina Cook of Cristina’s Restaurant. Then on Friday night, start your weekend off right with the Harvest Restaurant Walk from 5:30- 7pm. Sample tantalizing appetizers and wine parings from 14 participating restaurants and locations.

On Saturday, after you’ve conquered the Baldy Hill Climb, head to Ketchum’s Town Square for the Harvest Festival Beer Garden from 12-4 sponsored by Sun Valley Magazine. Munch on some food from Raspberry’s, Atkinsons’ Market, Toni’s Sun Valley Ice Cream or Sayvour by Nadina and wash it all down with your favorite frothy beverage.

Here’s a list of some of the beer they’ll be pouring: Angel’s Perch Amber from Sockeye Brewery, Boise, ID; Bitch Creek ESB from Grand Teton Brewing Company, Victor, ID; Blond Ale from Sun Valley Brewing Company, Hailey, ID; Cream Ale from Laughing Dog Brewing, Ponderay, ID; Hefeweizen from Idaho Brewing Company, Idaho Falls, ID; Pica Pica Porter from River Bend Brewery, Ketchum, ID.

Food…beer…friends…what else do you need? Oh! Music! Danny Barnes who toured with the Dave Matthews Band will be rockin’ the Square. And Ketchum’s own Cow Says Moo will be the opening act!

Saturday afternoon from 2-5pm head back to Carol’s Dollar Mountain Lodge and check out the Harvest Tasting Room and Wine Cellar, where wineries and distributors will be pouring award-winning Idaho wine, vodkas and liqueurs.

Saturday night features a bounty of Harvest Dinner options at participating local restaurants. If swanky is more your style and you enjoy martinis and caviar, more than burgers and brew, then SEGO will be the hot spot. The Martini and Caviar Party is for Gold Pass Holders only and features Idaho’s original Square One Organic Vodka and Idaho caviar from Tsar Nicoulai Caviar.

Whether you enjoy relaxing with friends at the Harvest Beer Garden, learning how to cook like a famous chef, or putting on your heels for the Martini and Caviar Party at SEGO, the Sun Valley Harvest Festival is sure to have something for everyone. Like their tagline reads: Taste, experience, learn, enjoy.
